Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to improve tracking capability for fast time-varying channels, this paper proposes multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission technologies employing per transmit antenna differential mapping (PADM), which generates an independent differentially encoded sequence for each of the multiple transmit antennas by means of space-time coding and mapping. A receiver for the proposed scheme performs adaptive maximum-likelihood detection (MLD) based on the pseudo matrix inversion with high order channel modeling. Complexity of the adaptive MLD can be drastically reduced by per-survivor processing (PSP). In addition, larger complexity due to high order channel modeling can be mitigated by decision-feedback sequence estimation (DFSE). Finally, computer simulation confirms that tracking capability of the proposed PSP with high order channel modeling is four times as large as that of the conventional PSP.
