Abstract(in English) Applications using nonlinear effects generated in highly nonlinear fibers (HNLFs) have been widely studied and reported. To use HNLFs in various practical applications, compact packaged polarization-maintaining HNLF is expected. In this paper, we design and fabricate a downsized PM-HNLF (DS-PM-HNLF) for the first time, and a coin-sized fiber module is realized by this DS-PM-FINLF.
