Abstract(in English) The crosstalk mechanism in a WSS-based multi-degree ROADM is investigated. The leakage paths in a node are categorized and serious paths are extracted from them. In addition, we break down each serious leakage path into the leakage paths in WSS modules. Also, the crosstalk performance required for a node is investigated under the condition that 128Gbps PDM-QPSK digital coherent transmission is applied for a multi-degree ROADM system. Considering the current WSS performance, the influence of crosstalk in a WSS-based ROADM network can be ignored.
