Abstract(in English) Recently, frame interpolation methods using motion compensated frame interpolation (MCFI) are at tracting many researchers. However, degradations are visible at the block boundaries because motion vectors are estimated in a block-by-block manner. In this report, we propose a method which uses motion compensation not only for the key frame but also for the interpolated frame. The interpolated frame obtained after the first MCFI is divided into macro blocks, and then motion compensation is performed from the macro blocks to the existing frames. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
