Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a frame rate up-conversion algorithm using global motion compensation based on the Helmert motion model. It is difficult to estimate Global motion using block matching method when there exist global motions such as zoom and rotation. The Helmert motion model is suitable for estimating global motions. Furthermore, we propose accuracy improvement method in motion estimation, an exclusion mask for global motion estimation, a diamond search with initial vector for local motion estimation, a vector median filter and a distortion search for motion refinement. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified using computer simulations.
