Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) While heterogeneous wireless access environments (e.g., 3G, Wimax and Wifi hotspot) are arranged, the number of the services which require continuous communication (e.g., periodic location registration, streaming, and etc) for mobile terminals is increasing. To guarantee large scale, large capacity, high availability and continuity of the service in such mobile networks, there are limitations if the horizontal and vertical handover of mobile terminals and traditional client-server model are only applied. Here, as the new communication architecture in new generation network, we propose "Service Mobility" concept which realizes the total mobility including the movement of both the mobile terminal and the session providing the services for the mobile terminals. In this paper, we show the concept of "Service Mobility", requirements for technologies, design of architecture, and implementation policy of elemental technology.
