Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN) based on IEEE 802.11 standard spreads rapidly. Thus, public wireless network services come into wide use in public place such as office, airport, and cafe. When distances between user and Access Point differ from one of other users, transmission rate of the user also differ from one of other users in these public wiress networks. Therefore, total-throughput decreases. This is because that the user communicate by using extremely low transmission rate. This is called "Performance Anomaly". In this paper, to solve this problem, we propose optimal access point selection which means that users throughput is maintained and the total-throughput is maximized. In this AP selection, new arriving-users cooperate to realize our goal by moving. Moreover, numerical analyses show some effectiveness of our proposed AP selection.
