| 抄録(和) | 日本語文字の色とフォントの組合せにより受ける印象を明らかにするために,4つの色と3つのフォントの組合せ12種類で呈示した仮名文字と数字の印象をSD法で検討した.そのデータを因子分析したところ,優美因子,快活因子,重厚因子,整然因子の4因子が抽出された.優美因子は文字色よりもフォントの影響を受けやすい因子であることなど,因子により色とフォントの影響が異なることが分かった.以上の結果は欧文書体の印象評価の研究や色と形の組合せの印象に関する先行研究の結果と一部が異なる.この相違について先行研究と併せて考察を行なった. |
| 抄録(英) | To find out affective properties of Japanese characters drawn with different color-font combinations, we examined affective ratings of Japanese Kana characters and numerals presented with a total of 12 combinations from four font types and three colors, using the semantic differential method. From factor analysis of the rating data, we extracted four factors, namely grace, cheerfulness, graveness, and regularity. Each factor reflected different effects of fonts and colors. For example, the grace factor was more dependent on color than fonts. Some of the present results were not consistent with the findings of past studies examining affective properties of Western fonts and of combinations of color and geometrical forms. Reasons for the discrepancy are discussed in the context of previous studies. |
