| 抄録(和) | わたしたちは頭の中でイメージを思い浮かべ、それを操作することができる。イメージに施す操作のうち、回転操作のことを特に心的回転(メンタルローテーション)という。同じ図形を繰り返し回転することによりその図形の心的回転が特に上達することが知られている(学習効果の図形依存性)。本稿ではこの学習効果が回転方向にも依存するかを検討した。その結果、心的回転の学習効果には回転方向依存性が認められた。さらに、ブロック内で回転方向を混合する条件では学習効果のうち回転方向に依存した部分が消失した。これらの結果と心的回転のメカニズムの関連について考察する。 |
| 抄録(英) | We can rotate an image of an object continuously in mind. The process is named mental rotation. It has been shown that rotating an image repeatedly improves mental rotation of the image, which is considered to be object-dependent learning effect. In the present study, we examined the direction dependency of the learning effect. As a result, repeating mental rotation of an image in one direction did not improve the rotation of the image in the other direction as much as that improved the rotation in the same direction. In addition, the direction-dependent learning effect disappeared when rotating the image in both directions alternately in a block of trials. We try to relate the direction-dependent learning effect to the mechanism of mental rotation. |
