Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The influence the complexity in Kanji letters on the attention blink is examined. Kanji letters in three levels of the complexity were selected from the Kanji letters database as stimulus. Subjects participated in an RSVP dual-target task which was asked to report two (T1 and T2) of 13 to 15 Kanji letters presented in sequence. The target letters (T2) were set at three levels of complexity: low, medium and high while other distracters were of medium and low complexity. The attention blink was appeared when the Stimulus Onset Asynchrony was one frame (200ms) between T1 and T2. The influence of percentage correct for T2 was the smallest when the complexity of T2 was at the medium level. Also, the percentage correct of T2 was the lowest when the complexity of T2 was at a low level. |
