Abstract(in English) We can often understand the pedestrian and its walking state from the footstep in the limited condition since the human footstep has characteristics due to a gait, footwear and floor environment. The footstep analysis to realize the footstep identification and the number of pedestrian system has been investigated. We often recognize the gender of pedestrian from footstep. The footstep based gender recognition system achieves the automated data collection in stores. This paper provides a study of footstep based gender recognition for a novel surveillance system.
