Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Conjugated polymer-fullerene composite is currently recognized as a key material for organic solid-state photocells. Because of poor solubility of fullerenes such as C_<60> in common organic solvents, chemically modified fullerenes having high solubility are widely used. The electrophoretic deposition allows one to prepare thin films from dilute solutions, therefore, it is possible to make conjugated polymer films containing relatively large amount of unmodified C_<60>. However, the porosity of the films prepared by the electrophoretic deposition makes it difficult to check the photovoltaic effects in the films. Here, we report flat composite films consisting to conjugated polymer and unmodified C_<60> which are obtained by applying a method to flatten electrophoretically deposited conjugated polymer films.
