| 抄録(和) | 電子情報技術を活用した視覚障害者のための歩行支援技術の変遷を概説する.1960年代より,電子技術を活用した歩行補助装置なるものの開発が始まった.この時代の歩行補助装置は主に超音波センサを用いた障害物探知機であった.これらの機器は視覚障害リハビリテーションへの導入が試みられたが,やがて下火になった.その後,障害物探知機ではなく,視覚障害者のナビゲーションシステムがさかんに開発された.やがて,互換性のないナビゲーション技術が乱立する状態になった.現在,これらの技術の標準化が進められている. |
| 抄録(英) | This article summarizes the transition of assistive technologies for mobility of blind people by electronic and/or information technologies. Since 1960s, the ETA (Electronic Travel Aid) had been developed. The ETAs of those days were mainly the obstacle detector by ultrasonic sensor. The ETAs were tried to introduce to the blind rehabilitation. However, they declined. After that, the navigation system for the blind people has been developed. Many incompatible navigation technologies were established. Standardization of these technologies is now in progress. |
