Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we'll explain reducing musical tone with Spectral Subtraction(SS). SS is generally used because it is achieved by low calculation cost with a microphone. There is however a problem that dissonant noise called musical tone is generated by SS. We must reduce not only environment noise but also musical tone for acquiring high-quality speech. The conventional SS evenly reduces in all frequency bands. Power of speech however concentrates in lower frequency band. Therefore, signal in higher frequency band is assumed as noise. The proposed method may be able to reduce musical tone by reducing the signal in higher frequency band. The proposed method separately reduces noise in each band. Objective evaluation and subjective evaluation were carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. In the objective evaluation, we evaluated each SS by NRR(Noise Reduction Rate) and SDR(Signal-to-distortion Ratio). In the subjective evaluation, we evaluated each SS by speech quality and quantity of musical tone with MOS(Mean Opinion Score). As a result, the proposed method highly achieved the noise reduction performance and subjectively reduced musical tone. |
