| Abstract(in English) | Having visited the Klasies River Mouth Caves, the oldest modern human site in the world with the confirmed human residence between 130,000-60,000 BP, in South Africa in 2007, the author started to contemplate on the origin and mechanism of language. Through interdisciplinary researches on linguistics, acoustic engineering, communication engineering, psychology, anthropology/primatology, neurophysiology, logistics, molecular biology and information theory, the author came to a phypothesis that the unique fundamental difference between human and non-human-animals lies in digitalization of vocal communications, i.e. language. However, he could not find out any appropriate definition for 'digital'. Therefore, he went through the Information Theory classics such as Shannon, Wiener and von Neumann in order to explore and formulate an objective, necessary and sufficient definition for 'digital'. It became clear that the 'digital' concept is wider and deeper than expected, and that it is the principle which enables 'information networks' and 'self-reproducing automata'. This article is going to define "information" which is to be logically processed in the higher "logical" layers of linguistic networks, and generate, without fail, appropriate actions for survival. As it directs body-actions, the information must be correct words, which are in accordance with the truth of things. |
