Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a concept of distributed array antenna and its phase drift compensation method. The proposed distributed array antenna consists of multiple tracking antennas and an array controller. The array controller controls phase of each antenna's transmitted signal appropriately to realize spatially in-phase combining. Although frequencies of all antennas are synchronized using a common reference oscillator, output signal's phase of each antenna is independently drifted. Due to the phase drift, distributed array antenna's E.I.R.P decreases and considerable pointing error occurs. To detect and compensate the phase drift, we propose to obtain low frequency feedback signal by mixing frequency-multiplied version of input IF signal to each antenna and Ku-band output signal, As a result of experimental evaluation, the phase drift was suppressed below 10 degrees which meets a target value.
