Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since IEEE 802.1 In wireless LAN supports channel bonding operation, it can select bandwidth of 20 MHz or 40 MHz. In addition, it also supports different frequency band, that is, 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band unlike legacy wireless LAN such as 802.11a/b/g. There is thus a freedom to select a better frequency band to improve performance. In this study, we evaluate throughput of IEEE 802.1 In wireless LAN in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band by indoor experiment, to show the advantage of 5 GHz band. From experiment results using Niigata university outdoor testbed, it is shown that 20 MHz multiple channel operation can achieve higher throughput than 40 MHz channel bonding operation in case of multi-hop communication under total 40 MHz bandwidth.
