| 抄録(和) | 情景画像からの文字列抽出では,抽出対象となる文字の位置や大きさ,色などが定まらないことが問題となるが,ユーザが情報を得たい文字列に対してカメラを向けており,文字の一部分に合焦していると仮定した場合,文字列のおおよその位置と色情報を取得でき,抽出の精度の改善が期待できる.本稿では,合焦領域においてエッジを考慮したMean-Shiftクラスタリングにより文字と背景の候補色を取得し,類似色を領域拡張法で探索して文字列候補を得る手法を示す.提案法はフォーカス領域が狭い場合や,高さが不均一な文字列に対しても柔軟に対処可能である. |
| 抄録(英) | In the text extraction from scenery images, the difficulty of extraction is attributed to the unknown information of text locations, sizes and colors. However, assuming that a user points a camera at a character-string to know the meaning, and a part of a character is in focus, rough information of the text location and color can be obtained, as a result an improvement of extraction accuracy is expected. In our method, candidate colors of character and background in a focus region are obtained by using the mean-shift clustering taking weight of edges into account. Then, by searching the similar colors with the use of a region growing method iteratively, the whole character string candidates are obtained. Our method is able to deal flexibly with the narrow focus size and the character strings of non-uniform height. |
