Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we propose a method of interpolation (and extrapolation) of the camera motion given at two instances by realizing its trajectory by a helix. Since any rigid motion is composed of a translation and a rotation, the movement of a camera between two instances can be represented by the changes of its position and attitude. It is known that the data about the movement can be extracted from the camera images at both instances and obtained as Essential or Fundamental matrices in epipolar geometry. On the other hand, every spacial curve is associated with a moving frame called Frenet frame by the classical theory of spacial curves. In particular, for a given curve, a translation and a rotation are obtained by considering the differences between positions and Frenet frames at end points. A helix is the most simple curve in the sense that it has constant curvature and torsion.
