Abstract(in English) TRECVID is an annual international collaborative research project organized by the National Instittute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the United States. The aim of TRECVID is to promote the progress of research on video content analysis and search via competition among participating research groups. This article will explain six tasks addressed by TRECVID 2010, namely, SIN : Semantic indexing, KIS : Known-item search, CCD : Content-based copy detection, SED : Surveillance event detection, INS : Instance search, MED : Multimedia event detection, with brief description of tasks and major approaches.
