Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we investigate the influence of network delay on viewpoint changing in free viewpoint video transmission by QoE (Quality of Experience) assessment. We treat three transmission methods as follows: Multi view transmission, free viewpoint image transmission, and depth and image transmission. We assess the image quality, interactivity of viewpoint changing and comprehensive quality as QoE. Assessment results show that the image quality of free viewpoint video transmission is good, and depth and image transmission has an advantage of interactivity. Also, since the inferior-to-superior relationship between the two methods depends on the charac-teristic and camera work of video contents for the comprehensive quality, the two methods should be used properly according to the situation.
