Abstract(in English) This paper presents a recognition method of hand shapes, which is based on the Kernel Orthogonal Mutual Subspace Method (KOMSM) with multi-view images of hands. The uniqueness of our method is to realize 3D hand shape recognition by measuring the structural similarity between two sets of 2D multi-view images of hands. The effectiveness of this approach will be demonstrated through the evaluate experiments using multiple view images of ten kinds of fingerspellings.
