Abstract(in English) Generation of arbitrary facial expressions to 3D face model has been usually achieved by either manual processing of the neutral face model or parametric control of the muscular model of expression pre-embedded in the face model. In these methods in which each facial feature is designed individually, proper adjustments of mutually related parameters for ensuring the overall naturalness of the facial expression are likely to be a cumbersome task. On the other hand, some previous works have investigated sexual dimorphism in facial features by means of a morphable 3D face model obtained by applying PCA to a set of 3D data obtained from both male and female faces. In this work, we attempted to employ the latter approach featured by the morphable 3D face model for facial expression generation tasks.
