Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper the authors propose a method to generate a line profile beam. The size of beam is 10μm × 1,000μm and the wavelength is 445nm. We use 20 semiconductor lasers for laser source and a planar light wave circuit for power combiner and beam homogenizer. For uniform power distribution, we apply plural different refractive index regions into the core of planar light wave circuit. We successfully get a uniform optical power distribution line beam that has 15% of peak to valley ratio.
