A Discussion for Effectiveness and Defects of Screen Prototyping on System Definition Phase

Abstract(in English) In recent years, a lot of system development projects adopt the screen prototyping process on system definition phase. It is effective to use the system prototype to decrease the trouble based on undefined system requirements. On the other hand, there are problems caused in using screen prototype. For example, because it is difficult to assume the consistency used between screens, screen prototype has the possibility of causing trouble. In this study, effectiveness and problems of the screen prototyping on system requirement definition phase were discussed. And the trouble in actual system development case that occurred because of the screen prototyping was analyzed. In addition, it introduces the tool that automatically constructs the information system from the screen prototype that NTTDATA developed. Because there is a possibility that this tool solves the problem of the screen prototyping.
