Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An improvement of the Complementary STS structure is proposed. The Complementary STS did not completely corrected the vulnerability of the Stepwise Triangular Scheme (STS). The Enhanced STS, with the "Check Equation," was proposed later. It seemed to reinforce the weakness of the Complementary STS, but it generated another vulnerability. Check Equation limits the freedom of assigning values to variables, but the limitation gives extra information about the structure. As the consequence of the above discussion, it was proposed to make the structure symmetric. This is the "Hidden Pair of Bijection (HPB)" Signature. This is applicable to other kinds of trapdoors as long as it is bijection. This system is secure against Grobner Bases attack and other existing attacks to the base trapdoors. The HPB is more efficient than Unbalanced Oil and Vinegar. In addition, when it is built into Rainbow-like structure, it is possible to build more compact public keys than original Rainbow.
