Algorithm for Minimizing Distortion in Delay-Sensitive Transmission on Closed-Loop System

Abstract(in English) In order to carry out the streaming, in which video data is downloaded and played simultaneously, every frame needs to be completely downloaded before it is displayed. In other words, the time the frame is displayed is the arrival deadline of its data. Because the frame should be restored before the deadline, we may have to reduce the amount of frame data. But it corrupts the quality of the frame. We consider an optimization problem minimizing distortion of the frames on the condition that each frame is restored before its deadline. We assume that the channel is noisy and that the encoder is notified immediately of the error. The encoder re-schedules the transmission according to the notice. For this problem, an algorithm using the certainty equivalent controls has been proposed [1], while it has a counter example which violates deadlines. In this manuscript, we propose an algorithm which gives an optimal solution based on the certainty equivalent controls.
