Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, brain function researches using EEGs have been done actively. Researches, which examine brain functions by observing and analyzing the frequency bands of θ, α, and β that form most of EEGs, have been executed a lot, but some research reports have emphasized the importance of the high frequency components of EEGs. We used an evaluation method of fractal dimensions that views the high frequency components of EEGs, and we inspected the utility of the components by finger tapping. As a result of comparing the fractal dimension of the rest state with the task state, these fractal dimensions are 1.32 and 1.40 respectively. Therefore we confirmed that the fractal dimensions differ between the rest and the task. In addition, as a result of increasing the order of moment when evaluating the fractal dimensions, we suggest that the high frequency components of EEGs become more remarkable.
