Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Alkyl-substituted thienylenevinylene (TV) compounds were synthesized by McMurry reaction and Stille-coupling reaction. Dodecyl-substituted TV polymer has a widely absorption window, but was hardly dissolved in organic solvents. On the other hand, hexyl-substituted TV oligomers were found to dissolve easily in common organic solvents such as hexane. The molecular length elongation of TV oligomers was effective in long wavelength absorption and in a uniform film formation. Compared with poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), a widely absorption window and deep highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level were archived in long TV oligomer, C6OTV4, having polymer-like film formation property.
