Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Autonomous mobile robots need localization system that can be used indoors without GPS. Localization system using RSSI of wireless-LAN is under consideration as a low-cost method. It is expected that precision of positioning is enhanced by using positional information from multiple wireless-LAN devices. The precision of positioning from each device depends on method of measurement, multipath environment and so on. Thus, we propose localization-method using weight based on precision of positioning. Under normal circumstances, precision of positioning is constructed of a variety of error factor, but we focus on precision caused by distance estimation that is significant precision of positioning. In this paper, we estimated our proposal of localization based on WLSM (Weighted Least Square Method) in simulation, and we verified availability of that. In addition, we had experimented using autonomous mobile robot prototype with simplified RSSI localization.
