Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that various types of unfairness occur between TCP flows, which share a wireless LAN based on the IEEE 802.11 standard and operating in DCF mode. In this paper, we propose a buffer management scheme in order to get rid of the unfairness between TCP flows sharing a wireless LAN. The proposed scheme, which is an improved version of the ACK pushout, selects a packet to be pushed out from the buffer depending on the number of flows using the transmission buffer of the access point. We have conducted simulation experiments to show that the proposed scheme achieves better fairness than existing schemes.
