An On-line Method for DetectingContinuously High Packet-Rate Flows

Abstract(in English) We propose an on-line method for detecting continuously high packet-rate flows. In our method, we collect traffic data by random packet sampling to ensure the scalability. At the same time, we adopt a sliding window scheme that realizes the on-line target detection. We also propose a method for determining the threshold number of sampled packets that is used for detecting target flows. We then conduct sampling experiments with public trace data and confirm that our method works well as designed.
