Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Evaluation of translation quality is necessary to select a best machine translator for source sentences. Several methods are commonly used for automatic translation quality evaluation. However the qualities of these existent evaluation methods vary with input sentences, and there is no general strategy that selects different evaluation methods according to different source sentences. In this paper, an architecture was proposed to select proper evaluation methods for different source sentences. A method using a back translation and a method using a bilingual corpus was used in an experiment for evaluating this architecture. The result showed the effectiveness of our proposed architecture.
