Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a Wab-based language service infrastructure, Web-servicized language resources can be combined and a new language resource is virtually realized as a composite Web service. Furthermore, if the infrastructure, as in the Language Grid, provides a collaborative environment, a new type of language resource that evolves through utilizations is feasible. This paper discusses possible architecture for a combined lexicon access service, which utilizes monolingual lexical semantic lexicons and bilingual dictionaries. This service could virtually realize a multilingual semantic lexicon by opportunistically associating semantically corresponding entries in the relevant lexical resources across languages. Given this scenario, this paper particularly proposes a framework for representing cross-lingual/interlingual lexical semantic correspondences that are expected to be incrementally recovered through a series of service invocations. This paper further discusses that recovered correspondences can be organized as a dynamic secondary language resource, while keeping the existing primary language resources intact.
