Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Remote sensing of environment and disaster is regarded as an international voluntary work rather than a business market which produces big profit, however, very big potential market exists in Southeast Asia. To realize that idea, development of basic technologies is essential for university and research institutes which are difficult by private companies to have a negative impact in a short-time cost and benefit analysis. This report emphasize the importance of solution-oriented research and development with international distribution, collaboration with Asian countries through science and technology, utilization of new sensing platform and devices and integration of geo-spatial technologies toward a contribution to the societal benefit.
