Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The handling and the miniaturization of DMFC are easy as compared with other fuel cells. The structure of general DMFC is called a stack type. In this stack type DMFC, MEA is sandwiched between bipolar plate of metallic nature. However, this structure has the problems such as high cost by a lot of manufacturing man-hours, and limitation of installing place. Then, flexible type DMFC that the flexibility of MEA is maintained by not using the bipolar plate is proposed. However, in flexible type DMFC, the capacity of the fuel depends on the size of MEA. It is necessary to make the methanol circulate with a pump for the output maintenance. In this report, the fuel supply situation of flexible type DMFC was analyzed through the experiment and the simulation, and it was examined to operate best.
