Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper introduces a signal recognition technique based on cyclostationarity and proposes its application to cognitive radio systems. After the outlines of major signal recognition techniques such as an energy detection and a cyclostationary feature detection, recent research trends toward the improvements of the signal recognition technique based on cyclostationarity are introduced. In addition, applications of the cyclostationarity-based signal recognition technique are mentioned on the basis of several advantages of the cyclostationary feature detection method over other detection methods. For example, an asynchronous in both the time and the frequency domains, a simultaneous identification of multiple signals and an artificial creation of the cyclostationarity are effective in spectrum sharing scenarios. In particular, several applications such as a connectable network search in a multi-mode wireless terminal, an interference annunciation using the cyclostationarity induction and an interference monitoring based on the cooperation between the signal recognition technique and a database, are considered.
