Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This talk briefly explains the philosophy of mathematical morphology and introduces our researches on its applications to visual kansei sciences. Mathematical morphology is a system of nonlinear operations based on complete lattice, which is a kind of ordered sets, and offers basic processing and operations to various research fields such as image processing. We have developed a modeling method of textures by their separate description of local and global structures based on mathematical morphology. We introduce our experimental investigation, as an application of our texture modeling method, on the effective structures to human impression on textures.
