Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Bilateral Back-Projection (BBP) is a single image super resolution method which has a drawback of excessive smoothing effect which appears in the detail or flat part of the image. In this report, firstly, we propose the improvement technique of the BBP method with varying space weight coefficient of bilateral filter in consideration of local variance, named BBPLV. Next, the combination of BBPLV and super resolution method which estimates high-frequency components using inverse filter and least squares method is proposed. Experiments conducted in 12 images show MSE reduction of 10.6% of the proposed method compared to BBP.
