Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We proposed network fault detection method for quickly specifying the router and the server that became a bottleneck in the distributed processing network system. The proposed method is to define the average and the standard deviation (standard distribution) which based on past measurement data of throughput for network flow and calculate the Mahalanobis distance of real-time data for the defined standard distribution, and then detecting an abnormal state by the deviating degree to standard distribution. The validity of the proposal method was evaluated in the case of traffic congestion. The traffic congestion was generated as a network fault in the experiment environment constructed with the emulator. It was able to be confirmed to detect an abnormal state change by use of Mahalanobis distance when the throughput acquired by AFM (Aggregated Flow Mining) is nonlinear.
