Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a network simulator (NS2) module for High-speed Internet satellite (WINDS). First, It was evaluated that basic communication characteristic on WINDS, e.g., RTT, jitter, and packetloss. It was shown that packet loss occurs in a Poisson process, and the number of lost packet is about six blocks loss and single loss. Based on this experiment, NS2 module of WINDS's packet loss characteristic has been developed.
