Abstract(in English) We estimate the amount of energy growth consumed by the Internet infrastructure in Japan until 2030. Separetely, we estimated the energy consumption of an access network, a metro network, and a core network and accont for growing number of users and technological improvement. Our results show that energy consumption based on a packetswitching network will reach 17.49 TWh/yr.
