Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new generation network should be an infrastructure that can control various network medium and technology on demand, ensure end to end requirement for communications, and provide a variety of context-aware of services with the use of sensor information and individual preferences in order to solve social problems, to activate economic activities, and to improve quality of residents' lives. A platform network for accommodating sensors and actuators called NerveNet is a network cooperating with mobile terminals and sensors/actuators. It features secure information transport by establishing a secure communication path between sensors and a server via a mobile terminal. In addition, NerveNet base station provides distributed database system and information processing features, which enable context-aware and intelligent information delivery services.
