Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cloud computing can make infrastructures such as traffic control and plant monitoring. The infrastructures require the current cloud computing to improve its real-time processing functionality and high availability. In order to meet these demands, we are developing the next-generation cloud computing system using Intelligent Nodes. Intelligent Nodes are distributed network nodes that process jobs near users, sensors and actuators under control of system management node. In this paper, we propose high available system switching technique to continue services from an active Intelligent Node to a stand-by Intelligent Node when the active Intelligent Node is down. We have developed a prototype of the Intelligent Node, and evaluated the high available system switching technique under execution of a job using TCP/IP communication. The technique was able to continue the active Intelligent Node's job at a stand-by Intelligent Node without communication disconnection, and the system switching time was within 71.9ms on the average.
