Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the packet transmissions with the TDMA mechanism in IEEE 802.16j wireless multihop networks, end-to-end transmission latency increases due to accumulation of delay at each relay node on transmission path, that is the duration on the relay node from the time receiving a packet to the time sending the packet. In this paper, we focus on upstream wireless links and improve two of the time slot assignment methods that we proposed for reducing the transmission latency. We evaluated the performance of the improved methods through simulation experiments and confirmed that the methods achieve small end-to-end transmission latency despite increasing the packet generation rate and decrease the end-to-end transmission latency by up to 70% compared to the existing method.
