Abstract(in English) | Cross-phase modulation (XPM) efficiency associated with intersubband transition in InGaAs/AlAsSb quantum well waveguide has been examined in the case of facet reflection operation. The probe experiences the pump-induced index change twice, thereby increasing the XPM efficiency two times, compared with co-propagation configuration of pump and probe. XPM-based wavelength conversion at 40Gb/s is demonstrated with clear eye opening. |
