Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new wireless network coding method (WNC), hybrid wireless network coding, that is able to improve the packet error rate (PER) performance of two-way traffic relaying systems. Our proposal adaptively switches WNC on digital level for regenerative relaying and WNC on analog level using superposed transmission for non-regenerative relaying according to whether each packet of two-way traffics in received correctly by relay nodes. It also switches WNC for regenerative relaying and WNC using soft decision modulated symbol according to the received SNR in order to improve the PER performance in low SNR region. Computer simulations reveal that the proposed method can maintain the PER performance in 1.5 dB degradation from the ideal performance by utilizing diversity gain and leveraging the relay node's transmission power.
