Abstract(in English) | The aims of this paper is to improve throughput performance of HARQ in multi-hop transmissions using the Detect-and-Forward (DetF) scheme. In the DetF scheme, relay nodes make hard decision of a received signal and transmits the hard-detected signal to its next node. Although the DetF can significantly reduce a load of the relay nodes, performance degradation occurs because of discarding soft-information. In order to improve the performance, we have proposed a new HARQ scheme based on the bit-by-bit combing method using LDPC codes and shown that it can achieve high throughput performance in bad channel condition. However, in the case of good channel condition, we have confirmed that the performance of the proposed scheme cannot improve because of redundancy of the coding. In this paper, we try to improve the throughput performance of the HARQ scheme by using RC-LDPC codes which can adaptively change the coding rate with respect to channel condition. |
