Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A temporal desynchronization for video watermarking is known as a serious problem in a digital watermarking system. The temporal desynchronization mainly occurs by clipping, frame rate conversion and dropping frames. The three attacks of temporal desynchronization easily occur by editing video data without an attempt. Moreover, video data is often converted to various formats of data compression in the process of distribution. Thus it is necessary that video watermarking must have the capability of robustness against the three attacks of temporal desynchronization and data compression for video data. In this paper, we propose a watermarking method which is able to resists these attacks and data compression for video data. The method is based on an error-and-erasure decoding using some reliability information. Because of error-and-erasure decoding, the method can correct errors caused by temporal desynchronization. And furthermore, by using reliability information of shares, the error correcting capability of the method is improved, that is, the method has robustness against data compression.
