Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, in order to operate higher transmission rates, it has been actively investigated to apply MIMO (Multiple input Multiple output) transmission techniques, to wide-band mobile communication systems. When increasing the number of antenna branches for MIMO, installation space becomes wide. So, from the viewpoint of practical use, much attention is now focused on the utilization of polarization characteristics for MIMO configuration. We call this Polarization-MIMO in this paper. Here, when accurately evaluating the performance of Polarization-MIMO, channel model that handles the characteristics of polarization dispersion of propagation paths is essential. Up to now, the characteristics of spatial-temporal dispersion of the paths have been investigated in detail. However, there are few reports on the characteristics of polarization dispersion. In this paper, we propose new power profile for linear polarized direction as a evaluation model of the polarization dispersion, and clear the analyzed power profile from measurement data in urban macro-cell environment.
